Prayer on the Road
“Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble.
Max Lucado
But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it
and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference.”
Please be in prayer for…
our church leaders
our church congregation
our Trust Partners and their members
our communities – including the Ten Towns
our nation and its leaders
and for our world
for those with power
and those who are powerless
for those who control the vast resources of this world
and for those who remain so desperately under resourced
for those who follow Christ
for those who need Him and for those who seek Him
Prayer is a powerful thing! Let us not leave it unused!
Prayer Walking
Prayer walking involves walking, talking, looking and praying; listening to, looking for and taking note of what God is saying about and doing in the community.
For some, prayer walking is simply about praying… talking with God and praying into those things that He brings to heart and mind.
Some people engage in prayer walking with their primary focus being to look for opportunity to pray for the people they meet.
For others, it can be a part of a wider intention to engage with the neighbourhood.
All of the above are important. Youou can do these alone or you can invite 2 or 3 others to join you.
Preparing the Ground for Kingdom Impact
Praying for 5
Based on materials supplied by Phil Alessi (www.catalyzedmm.com) and originating with Roy Godwin’s books “The Grace Outpouring” and “The Way of Blessing”.
5 people – 5 minutes – 5 days a week – 5 weeks
In John 10:10 we read these words from Jesus, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” In the teaching that we call, the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus instructed us to seek the release of the Kingdom of God in our midst. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Speaking blessings over people in our lives who don’t know Jesus is one way to see His Kingdom come in greater measure.
