Serving  Opportunities

Current Serving Opportunities

Musicians and Vocalists – Practices are to be held fortnightly, on the first and third Thursdays of each  month, from 7-9pm. This will create a pool of people from which we can grow our Sunday teams.

Sound and Media – We would like to establish a second team, and additional team members, to help share the load. Duties involve setting up on Saturday evenings and running the systems on a Sunday morning. Full training can be given.

Next Generation – Chapel Youth and Kidspace (including preschool) offer a variety of opportunities for serving: set up, support, small group leadership etc. Police Vetting will be required.

Next Gen Pastor Vacancy – Seeking expressions of interest (Paid role) – Leadership Opportunity with flexibility and room for growth. Please note: In fulfilling this vacancy we are not on a set timeframe, neither are we committed to a set outcome. Please, let me explain. Are you the special person/people we are looking for to lead our Next Gen Ministries, responding to the prompt of the Holy Spirit, with a heart for the next generation. read more

Sunday set up – Being a multi-purpose facility, we need to set up seating each Saturday. This can usually be done any time on a Saturday however there are occasions when a daytime facility hires means set up can only be done after 5pm.

Garden Maintenance – We employ a local contractor to mow the lawns, spray weeds etc. However, we do need people who can be involved in keeping the gardens tidy. Whether you can do this on a regular basis, or you are happy for us to let you know when there is a working bee, both contributions are valued.

Minor Property Maintenance – Most property projects are undertaken by paid contractors however there are always small jobs to be done and we would love to have someone on call for these. You may even want to take responsibility for the identification and management of projects requiring a contractor.

Monthly Lunches – With church lunches on the first Sunday of each month, it would be great to have 2 or 3 individuals to take turns managing the kitchen… preparation and cleanup. Actual meal preparation will normal be covered by ‘bring a plate/platter/bowl’.

Treasurer – We need someone with a head for numbers and finance to act as a Trustee, giving supervision to the finances of the Te Atatu Peninsula Community Trust. The Book-keeping and Accounting functions are covered however we need someone to oversee these from a governance perspective.

Property Development We are on the lookout for people with the skills to help us reflect on how we can best steward our current property so that it continues to serve our needs, and those of our community, long into the future.
