Missions

It is ALL about missions…
We want everything we do to be about mission, about God’s mission in the world which is to love it, save it, restore it, care for it. As a church, we exist to extend the boundaries of God’s presence and grace in the world. All of the community activities that the church is involved in on the peninsula are missional activities, as is the workplace faith of the members of the congregation who work across the city.

Beyond that…
We have 3 mission ventures currently operating further afield than the peninsula:

  • Gavin Gunston’s leading role in the Hobsonville church plant in West Auckland (Click here for more information)
  • Marcus and Beth Stewart’s leadership on the ‘Business as Mission’ YWAM discipleship school in Chiang Mai, Thailand (click here)
  • Sandy Meikle’s ongoing discipleship and medical work in the province of Katanga in the Democratic Republic of Congo (click here)
  • Tim and Angela are currently serving in the field and learning the language in-country (click here)

Short Term Missions Trips
In the recent past, short term missions teams have visited Cambodia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

“It is not so much the case that God has a mission for His church in the world
but that God has a church for His mission in the world.”
